Crowned Mrs. Nevada-America 2014, she used her platform to advocate for bullying prevention, testifying before the Nevada State Legislature in support of Hailee’s Law, the state's first anti-bullying bill. As a former bullied teen, her testimony was deeply personal, rooted in faith and resilience.

Her identical twin sister’s struggle with substance addiction and her darkest moment, changed Lavetta’s life forever.
